Rubber Coated Magnets

No drilling. No permanent install. Mount your Starlink to a magnetic steel roof in minutes, and pull it off just as fast.

This set of four magnets gives your TRIO mount a strong, secure grip on steel surfaces. Each magnet holds 60 lb, for 240 lb of total holding force. The rubber coating protects your paint, resists rust, and grips hard without scratching.

Female threads accept M6 screws, so the magnets bolt straight onto your mount. Stainless steel hardware is included in every set.

Works as a replacement set or an upgrade for compatible TRIO mounts, including the Flatmount, Speedmount, and Mini Interior Mount.

Built for the road Speedmounts running these magnets with VHB Discs have been wind tunnel tested to 120 mph. Clean contact and regular hardware checks keep them locked down at speed.

Curved or angled roof Pair the magnets with Swivel Leg Adapters so each foot sits flush for full surface contact.

Aluminum, fiberglass, or other non-magnetic roof Add VHB Adhesive Magnet Mounting Discs to create a magnetic base, or VHB Landing Pads for a permanent install. The Ford F-150 has used an aluminum body since 2015, so confirm your roof is steel before ordering.

Installation

Installation

  1. Feed the bolts (blue Loctite already applied) through the openings at each of the four feet on the TRIO mount.
  2. Thread each bolt into a magnet and tighten with the supplied hex key.
  3. Slide the Starlink dish onto the mount until it clicks firmly into place. Confirm it is secure.
  4. Clean the mounting surface and the magnet faces so both are free of dirt and debris.
  5. Set the mount on the surface and press for solid contact. Point the TRIO logo and dish cord toward the back (trailing edge) of your vehicle or boat.

Removing the mount
Lift from the rear of the mount itself. Do not use the Starlink dish as a lever.

Maintenance
Check the hardware regularly to confirm the magnets stay secured to the mount. Clean the magnets and surface periodically to keep maximum hold.
