Keep your Starlink Gen 3 Standard dish secure with this extra sturdy pole mount.
The TRIO Gen 3 Pole Mount is a convenient option for those wanting to mount their Gen 3 Starlink in a secure and convenient way at home, or on their boat or RV. Simply press the tabs on the Starlink kickstand and slide it out, and slide in the TRIO Pole Mount until it clicks in firmly, place it over a 2” Flag Pole Buddy pole (OR Harbor Freight: 1.65”, 1.5”, or 1” poles with correct insert), then simply tighten the M6 screws to cinch the mount on the pole and you’re all set!
** If wanting multiple inserts, please indicate so via drop down option and specify which inserts in the “Additional Information” box during checkout ($10 extra per additional insert)
** We recommend to use the through bolt hole to drill out a hole in your pole and through bolt with 75mm M6 stainless hardware (available as add-on in drop down option).
Featuring stainless steel M6 screw and nylon lock nut hardware and manufactured from waterproof and UV thermoplastic that will not warp, the TRIO Gen 3 Pole Mount is built to last. It tilts the dish at an 8 degree angle to allow water run off and aerodynamic positioning. The pole mount also has a space for the Starlink cable to pass though. This product is 3D printed, and some surface imperfections may be present. They do not affect structural integrity.
** NOTE: Due to the 8 degree angle (instead of 20 degrees that the starlink kickstand gives) the app will show a notification that the dish needs to be aligned. This does not affect performance in any way in our testing.
If you already have a previous pole mount for Gen 1 or 2 Kits, use this pole mount (with or without insert) to fit on the same pole.

The Starlink Gen 3 mount is very well constructed. The fit when it snaps it the Starlink is perfect. I recommend it highly!
I'm sure there will be some offshore-made alternatives some day, but my experience is that when you buy quality, you only cry once. I have this mounted on a high-quality mast (detecting a theme?) which is erected and then taken down at every campsite with our trailer camper. The gen3 snaps into place (and un-snaps) reliably and with one hand, every time. I generally do this with one hand, while standing on the camper, holding the mast. Works perfectly every time. We have months of testing now, and this mount has our confidence.
Holds the SL securely. We've had winds up to 25+ mph, I lower the mast to about 6' off the ground, but I haven't taken the SL off this mount in high winds yet. Not saying I wouldn't, but the mount is solid, so I leave it connected.
I have run the SL ethernet cable up the inside of the sectional mast, attached the mount to the mast semi-permanently, and added a plastic hold-down to one of the stainless steel bolts that holds the mount to the mast with compression -- to hold the top of the cable securely. The cable is long enough so that there is a 'drip loop' in the cable, the black loop you see in the image, a best practice for keeping stress out of the connection to the SL with the cable (inside the mount).

The Starlink Pole Mount is garbage. The first version was revised, and it was still junk. The Trio Pole Mount is perfect. It is very well made - light, fits snugly into the dish and the pole inserts into the mount about 3". And for extra protection, a bolt goes through the mount & pole to secure the pole to the mount. Great design.
Needed a solution to mount a Gen3 dish to a 1" antenna pole already mounted to the stern pulpit of our sailboat. Also needed 12 volt converter to run on DC when off AC. Tim had both products and helped resolve issues with getting the right insert. Ended up using the 1.5" insert and wrapping the pole with rubber to act as a spacer. Once the mount was tightened the grip was super tight. The through-bolt gave me the assurance that the dish won't go anywhere in heavy winds. And the 12 volt adapter has been working perfectly! Highly recommend!
Purchased this Pole Mount because it seemed to be the only one available that would fit snuggly onto the pole using the pole inserts. Everyone else's mounts seemed so terribly unsecured using long set screws. Also, had the option for a through-bolt that makes it much more viable in hurricane prone areas. It would be perfect, however, it has only 8° of tilt. Wut? Why? The Starlink dish needs 20°. The app has a constant error informing me of the 13° error. Plus, I have a few occasions of the dish going offline. I assume this is because it cannot see all the satellites at all times. I don't understand the thought behind this. Plus, changing the 3D file to print a correct 20° tilt is trivial. Why not give the option to have the correct tilt? I don't get it. Other than that, it's very functional. Seems engineered well for all sizes poles with the inserts.
Hey, thanks for the detailed review and the kind words on the engineering. You're right that the app will flag a tilt alert with our Pole Mount. Our mount sits at 8 degrees rather than the 20 degrees the Starlink kickstand uses, so the app reads it as non-standard and throws that notification. Our goal was to make a more aerodynamic pole mount; thus the altered angle.
You can safely ignore that alert. Performance is not affected. Starlink's phased array technology maintains a strong signal across a wide range of angles, and with 10,000+ satellites in orbit, the dish pulls a reliable connection even when mounted flatter. The offline moments you're seeing are almost certainly unrelated to the tilt.

This mount made the most sense to me as far as attaching to a stationary 1.5"vertical pole, engineering wise. The pole inserts and the bolt through the pole assured me that this might survive a bad nor'easter or hurricane. However, I question the non-standard tilt angle of 8°. Starlink appears to work OK, but the permanent alert of incorrect tilt angle in the app sure is annoying and not very assuring. I would like to see possibly another version for stationary mounts that has the correct 20° tilt, available to purchase. Seeing as it is 3D printed, this could be done very easily in CAD.

This works as advertised and fills a niche for those who want a pole mount for mobile use. I use it on a boat and it fits perfectly on the previous pole that my gen 2 dish was mounted on. It is a shallow angle – close to horizontal –compared with the standard Starlink mount so we get great down and up link speeds in any orientation, while still allowing it to shed rain and snow. Be sure you do not tighten it too tightly with the clamping screws (as the directions warn about) or it will crack. (I made that mistake with a previous unit and had to use a hose clamp to secure it.) Also make sure you use the through-bolt to secure it as suggested.
Good fit, easy to install
I'm using this on my sailboat. While I have yet to complete the Starlink installation and use the pole mount at sea, I have assembled the mount, using the 1-1/2" insert, onto a 1-1/2" pipe. I used a drill press to put holes in my pipe. The mount fit well. The mount seems very solid and I expect it to perform well under the harsh conditions I'm going to subject it.
Had a question and emailed TRIO and they got right back to me, resolved the question promptly and fully followed up to make sure it was all good. Very reassuring they stand behind their products.
Excellent product with unsurpassed customer service. We needed a new mount quickly for our gen 3 while our cruising and trio delivered within two days and even followed up after to make sure we received everything,see if we had questions or if we needed help. The Starling pole mount probably works ok but it doesn't have much contact with the pole. The mount is very deep for the pole insert plus you drill a hole through the pipe and the mount will never come off. Excellent design

Just sailed 3,000 mile of the Alaskan coast with it. Seen many storms. This mount is a strong, good fitting, well made mount.
After having our dish come off the roof with the flimsy pot "metal" the Starlink pole mount is made of, we decided we needed something more sturdy for the replacement. Buy with confidence.

I added a round spacer of a few millimeters, and tightened the two screws lightly, but used the through screw as a strong fastening to avoid unwanted breakages, as recommended.
The mount fits perfectly. I like the fact that it is tilted less despite not knowing how much tilt angle is right/wrong. Since our boat is always spinning around anchor, perhaps ideally there should be zero tilt for boat applications. As-is it works perfectly with our Gen 3 Standard Starlink dish.
Just as another happy customer who left a sailboat installation review below, I also had to add rubber tape onto the pole and added a through bolt just for the peace of mind.
