The TRIO Performance Gen 3 Speedmount is a heavy-duty, precision-engineered mount built for the Starlink Performance Gen 3 dish. Designed for in-motion use, it keeps your Starlink securely in place while protecting it from every angle, whether you’re on the road, at a job site, or off-grid.
Made in the USA from marine-grade HDPE, the Performance Speedmount combines strength with a low-profile design of only 1.5” in height (1.65” with magnets). Its open-top structure preserves all Starlink functions, including snowmelt and heat dissipation, while providing easy access to ports and power connections.
With eight mounting holes, the mount offers multiple installation options for maximum stability and versatility. Choose from TRIO’s lineup of tested accessories such as Rubber-Coated Magnets, Heavy-Duty Suction Cups, VHB Landing Pads, and Through-Bolting Kits to adapt the Speedmount to any environment or surface.
To assemble, simply secure the components using the included stainless-steel hardware and hex key. An optional polycarbonate cover adds extra protection against hail, branches, and debris without affecting signal performance.

I just completed a 16k rv trip from Florida to Alaska with a Gen 3 Standard Speedmount on my GMC Sierra HD. Even though the roof has ridges, the mount had no problem handling wind speeds up to 100 mph. It was also a plus that people couldn’t hardly see the Starlink on the roof since it sits so low. Another caravanner in our group had his Starlink come off due to a cheaper mount bought on Amazon. BTW - I left the Starlink mounted on the truck the entire trip with the router zip-tied to the backseat headrest. The signal is plenty strong enough when parked to stream in our Airstream. It's an expensive product, there is no getting away from that.
I'd judge it as a considered purchase rather than an speculative purchase where you might be more inclined to purchase on the chance that it does what you need.
For my needs, I could see that cheaper alternatives didn't quite match the construction of this item.
The Gen3 dish is held firmly in place, it can't fall out. The rubber coated magnetic feet are holding the mount firm to the roof of my canal boat.
So far, it's done exactly what I need and it's been a fit and forget installation

Rubber Coated Magnets
A strong, non-scratch mounting solution for magnetic surfaces. Rubber-coated magnets with M6 inserts deliver up to 60 lbs of holding force per pad and include stainless steel hardware. Compatible with all TRIO Gen 3 and Mini mounts for quick, drill-free setup and removal.
Ideal for: Steel RV roofs, vans, and trucks.
Install tip: Clean both surfaces before attaching.
Suction Cups
A temporary, no-drill mounting option for smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass, painted metal, or gelcoat. Each 4.5" cup provides up to 65 lbs of holding force, featuring M6 threaded inserts for secure connection to any TRIO Flatmount or Speedmount.
Install tip: Clean the surface, press down, and pump until the colored indicator disappears. Always check suction before driving.
VHB Landing Pads
A no-drill mounting option for fiberglass, aluminum, and glass surfaces. Each pad uses genuine 3M™ 5952 VHB adhesive for a permanent, watertight bond that withstands heat, vibration, and UV. Functions as a standalone mount.
Ideal for: RV roofs, truck cabs, boats, and sunroofs.
Install tip: Apply at 70–100°F, press firmly, and let cure 24–72h before use.
VHB Discs
Our VHB Landing Pads use genuine 3M™ 5952 double-sided adhesive, trusted in aerospace and marine applications. Once cured, the bond is permanent, watertight, and resistant to vibration, UV, and temperature swings.
