Before finding Trio, we were using a cheap magnetic mount from Amazon. It was flimsy, the bolts constantly backed out, and routing the cable through the door was a nightmare. We needed a professional roof-mounted solution for our 4x4 Ford E350 van, but our fiberglass high-top isn’t flat. The Trio Flatmount with the adjustable wobble legs was the absolute perfect solution. We mounted it on the curved rear of the roof and took it to the SoCal desert. It survived 80mph highway speeds, heavy washboards, and hard G-outs without moving an inch, all while delivering flawless in-motion internet.

But the real magic of this magnetic system is its versatility. We take our Starlink Mini from rig to rig depending on the job. I popped the Trio mount off the van and slapped it onto our 4th Gen 4Runner for a 2-week backcountry mapping trip in the Nevada desert. I put it through absolute hell. Between the bone-rattling dirt roads and physically scraping the dish directly under low-hanging pinyon pines and juniper branches, I tried my hardest to defeat it. I could not bounce, rattle, or scrape this thing off the roof. It is incredibly robust, and the fact that they offer a lifetime guarantee makes this an absolute no-brainer. As a commercial photographer who's constantly working on the road, few pieces of my kit have elevated capabilities as much as my Trio Flatmount has. Besides being well-designed and engineered to fit the Starlink Mini snugly and securely, it's completely straightforward to use and allows me to stay connected in the middle of nowhere. Mount seems sturdy and it will get tested off-road soon, only issue is the magnetic mounting was either missing washers or the screws were too long.

Great quality and easy to install. Magnets and mounting discs are very strong and secure on my fiberglass RV roof.

I think its a great design. It has a very well constructed sturdy feel. It looks and feels made from quality materials, its easy to assemble, it has a nice low profile look, no functionality issues on and off highway, its portable and convenient.

Very easy to put together. In fact, Jeremy Clarkson can probably put it together without getting hammers involved.
Also very sturdy as well. I ran some high speed bumpy/ whoopy/ and choppy sections in the desert with this installed, and it didn't even move a bit. If it's good for handling Baja speed, it is more than capable to handle whatever else you throw at it! Highly Recommended.

Recently took a 350 mile trip in Alaska with the speed mount magnetized to the trunk of my BMW M4. The starlink worked perfectly and the mount didn’t slide or move one bit from high speeds or the bumpy, sometimes jumpy, Alaskan highways. Very happy with my purchase!

Perfect fit. Love the high quality bolts to secure the Starlink, ensuring a tight fit and noting that will come loose or break off. The brackets are thick enough to last while still being lightweight.

I know there are like 3d printed? maybe? its still solid. kind of wish the bottom was more covered for the weather protection but so fat so good. i switch it back and forth with dash and roof locations. rubber magnets work good for anti-slide feet.

Overall, what a nice unit! Certainly will protect the Starlink Mini. Little concerned that the magnets are so strong I will never get it removed as I planned., to move from vehicle to vehicle...but absolutely no worries that it will fail at highway speeds. Can you spot it sitting up top there....

I purchased this mount for my RV.

Installation was very easy, just needed to run the wire into the cabin and plug it in. Assembling the unit was very easy, just a couple bolts to hold the two pieces of the mount together. I chose the magnetic option and just needed to screw the magnets into the mount, super easy.

Performance has been great with a clear sky, there’s no obstructions and I don’t have to bother setting it up as long as I’m not parked under a tree. I drove about 8 hours on the interstate 65-70mph and no problems with the mounts stability or anything. It’s very low profile and not really visible from outside the RV.

The way it’s installed, if I need to get it off the roof because of obstructions, only takes a couple minutes to lift it off and disconnect the cable. I purchased an extra cable from Amazon so I can leave the cable on the roof full time.

Overall I’m very pleased with the product’s performance. It fits my needs well and I expect it to last years.

I love my speed mount. It really helps protect the mini, easy to assemble, well-made and sturdy. I also really like the plexiglass cover and I’m glad I chose to add it, but we will see how long that lasts before I scratch it up lol. For those who are wondering, the cover doesn’t seem to affect speeds really at all.
