Description

Our Gen 3 12V Conversion Box contains our POE injector and 12V to 56V converter inside, so you can run your Starlink Gen 3 Standard dish straight off a 12V or 24V battery with an aftermarket router like a Peplink (not included). This eliminates the need to run the Gen 3 router alongside your existing router, which cuts power draw by roughly 15W. When you are off-grid, that adds up.

The converter and POE injector are both built in, so the box connects your dish directly to your aftermarket router with none of the extra hardware. The built-in 12V to 56V converter supplies the voltage the Starlink dish needs, and the integrated POE delivers power and data over a single Ethernet line.

Simply connect the included 5-foot SAE cable to a 12V or 24V power source (DC input range is 10 to 30V) and plug your Gen 3 Starlink Ethernet cable into the port labeled DISH. Compatible with most 12V and 24V battery systems, including lithium, as long as they stay within the 10 to 30V input range.

** Works with snow melt. Our POE has been load tested to over 200W, which is more than enough for Gen 3 snow melt.

Power consumption tested over 1 hour with constant upload/download internet: approximately 40 Wh (roughly 3A at 13.8V). This does not include aftermarket router power consumption, which varies by model.

Please select the appropriate connector for your application from the drop down: bare wire leads or ring terminals. Bare wire is ideal for custom installs. Ring terminals are ideal for direct battery connections.

** We recommend a 15A fuse on your 12V fuse block, or adding an in-line fuse on the positive lead. For 24V installations, use a 10A fuse. We recommend not lengthening the included cable. If you need more length, increase the wire size based on cable length and fuse size.

Important Information

Built specifically for the Starlink Gen 3 Standard (Standard 4) system and designed for use with aftermarket routers such as Peplink. It works with many aftermarket routers that support Starlink integrations. An aftermarket router is required and sold separately. If you plan to use the factory Gen 3 router instead, use the Gen 3 12V Power Supply.

The box includes the integrated POE injector, 12V to 56V converter, and 5-foot SAE power cable. Commonly installed in RVs, camper vans, overland rigs, boats, and off-grid battery systems. Most customers install it themselves, but if you are not comfortable with DC wiring, fuse sizing, or battery connections, we recommend a qualified installer.

Installation

If connecting to a 12V fuse block, please use a 15A fuse (We recommend not lengthening the included 12V power supply cable length, but if needing to please size appropriately based on cable length and fuse size. Seek professional electrical assistance if required).

If connecting to a 24V fuse block, please use a 10A fuse

Important Information
